Description:
Specific Learning Disabilities (SLD) / Dyslexia: "Connecting Research to Practice in Connecticut" is a comprehensive series of web-based learning modules created for Connecticut school professionals by SERC, in collaboration with the Connecticut State Department of Education. This is an advanced-level professional learning opportunity addressing the foundations of reading acquisition and appropriate identification of SLD / Dyslexia. The intended audience for this course is general and special education teachers, directors and supervisors of special education, administrators, reading teachers, specialists, coordinators and coaches, student support services professionals (especially speech-language pathologists and school psychologists), and other educators serving in a professional capacity.
